Umang Porwal Earns Prestigious Certifications in International Shooting Sports for India
Madhya Pradesh, India – A proud moment for the Indian shooting sports community, as Umang Porwal has earned the prestigious ISSF C License for international shooting coaching from the ISSF Academy in Finland. This highly regarded certification was awarded after a rigorous 12-week training program, further strengthening his coaching and mentorship capabilities. Only four coaches from across India qualified for this certification, and globally, only 15 coaches have received it. His instructors have been national team coaches from Greece, Finland, Australia, the USA, and Germany.
In addition, Porwal has also received the prestigious Armorer License from Walther Germany. This certification validates his expertise in the maintenance and servicing of rifles, pistols, and firearms, placing him among an elite group of professionals. Christian Bauer, the Service Head from Germany, personally awarded him this certification. Across India, only 10 individuals have received this recognition.
In an interview given to the editor of Times of Post, Umang Porwal said that
Globally, shooters are acquiring online shooting techniques from Umang. Additionally, athletes seek his offline coaching services.
Effective immediately, Walther rifle and pistol servicing will be available in Ratlam.
With these dual certifications, Porwal’s expertise will help elevate Indian shooting sports to new heights. His goal is to enhance training methodologies and provide world-class firearm servicing to aspiring and professional shooters.
His achievement is not only a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh but also for the entire country. He has set a new benchmark for Indian coaches and technicians on the global shooting stage.
Porwal serves as the Secretary and Head Coach at the Ratlam District Rifle Association, located on Station Road, Ratlam. His accomplishment has been celebrated by Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Chetan Kashyap, along with officials and shooters from the Ratlam District Rifle Association, who have extended their congratulations.
