Ratlam/12/Oct2023/ Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi, known as the messiah of the poor, was transferred due to political reasons.

The code of conduct regarding elections has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh and its effect is also visible. While BJP has announced its candidates, Congress candidates are seeing a split.

In Ratlam, the poor started considering Ratlam Collector as their Messiah. Many such works were done by Ratlam Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi which could not have been imagined.

The fear of goons and land mafia was clearly visible. As soon as the code of conduct was implemented, serious allegations were made against him like being an agent of BJP. On 8/8/2023, the Commissioner complained to the National Election Commission and demanded his transfer. The complainant had said in his complaint letter that the Assembly elections cannot be fair with Collector in charge.

Within three days of the code of conduct, Collector Ratlam has been transferred to the Secretariat, Bhopal. Along with this, Khargone Collector Shivraj Singh Verma has also been transferred to the Secretariat.

It is a big thing for the Commission to remove two collectors from its responsibility and appoint them elsewhere. At present, the charge of Ratlam Suryavanshi has been given to the District Panchayat CEOs.

Those people of Ratlam district whose work has been done on priority by the Collector and whose pain and suffering he has understood will always be remembered. It is not only difficult but also impossible to forget such a Collector.
