The new Apple Pencil maintains “pixel-perfect accuracy, low latency, and tilt sensitivity,” ensuring an impressive writing and drawing experience. However, it lacks certain advanced features present in the 2nd generation Apple Pencil, such as pressure sensitivity, wireless pairing and charging, double-tap functionality to change tools, and free engraving.
Apple recommends this new Apple Pencil for use with the 10th generation iPad, as well as various models of iPad Pros, iPad Airs, and iPad Minis, as they are all equipped with USB-C ports.
