Kempower introduces Megawatt Charging System for electric trucks and electric vehicles using power above one megawatt

Kempower, a trailblazing Finnish company, is making waves in the electric vehicle charging industry with its groundbreaking Megawatt Charging System (MCS).

The MCS is designed to handle higher powers, exceeding 1 MW, ensuring fast and efficient charging for electric trucks.

Kempower is set to introduce the MCS to the European market in the first quarter of 2024. The first batch will deliver a staggering 1.2 megawatts of charging power.

Jussi Vanhanen, Chief Market Officer of Kempower, emphasizes the importance of electric trucks in reducing CO2 emissions.

Kempower's MCS caters to various charging needs. Whether it's overnight charging, destination charging, or charging on-the-move along highways, this megawatt system has it covered.

Trucks, buses, and coaches contribute significantly to CO2 emissions from road transport. Kempower's innovation aligns with the global goal of reducing emissions and combatting climate change.ย

Kempower envisions a bright future for the commercial vehicle DC charging market. With an expected 37% compound annual growth rate until 2030, the company is well-positioned to drive change.

Jussi Vanhanen underscores the significance of Kempower's MCS in reducing carbon emissions, especially in urban areas.
