Murrieta, CA – September 6, 2023 – A high-stakes drag race between two Lamborghinis turned disastrous in Murrieta, California, leaving a $250,000 Lamborghini Huracan in ruins.
The incident occurred on Friday evening around 6:30 PM on Jefferson Boulevard, sending shockwaves through the local community.
According to the Murrieta Police Department, the ill-fated race ended in a catastrophic collision when one of the Lamborghinis lost control and careened into a third vehicle that was not involved in the race. Meanwhile, the other Lamborghini driver involved in the race fled the scene, eluding authorities. The police are now appealing to local businesses to review their surveillance camera footage in the hopes of identifying the elusive driver.
In California, a conviction for participating in a speed contest can lead to serious consequences, including up to 90 days of jail time and fines of up to $1,000.
